There were 88 starters this week as Matamata joined us to compete for the Captains Shield. The golfer of the week sponsored by The Redoubt Bar & Eatery was Barry Wallace with 16-81-65-43pts. There were nine twos all getting two balls each R Burling, M Dearnley, P Metcalfe, K Storey, L Wilson, P COleman, G Higgs, G Pitson, M Tappin. There was also a hole in one on the 8th by Mike Garrud his second this year, thankyou to Fairview Motors who sponsor a $100 voucher on that hole on club days. Closest to the pin on the 1st was M Tappin sponsored by Cheep Liquor and number 12th was N Kirsopp sponsored by Greg Waters Spraying. Longest Putt B Wallace sponsored by sprayon, Hidden holes winner was D Wright sponsored by straight up fencing.

Whacker of the week was A Dodd with 21pts. Winner of the Friar Memorial was M Garrud. Walton currently leading Matamata by 24 shots. Next week is the return of the Captains Shield at Matamata tee times are 9am to 10am.
