At our annual Spring Pairs Tournament there were 104 players from 21 Clubs who all braved extremely windy weather coupled with some very heavy showers. The winning pair was J Pritchard and Pam Haakma from Tahuna .. with 78 stableford. Followed by L Parker and S Bowers, M Armstrong and Y Cowlrick (Walton) , D Sweeney and Villiger (Walton) G Oliver and M Barclay (Walton) A Manning and I G Teklenburg, D van Lierop and J Reed, G Osborne and J Kelsen, A Mathis and B McCartney, H Sharp and J Nelson (Walton) K Preston and R Plant (Walton) J Williams and T Scott (Walton) There were 8 Twos – N Galloway, M Woolford, J Kelsen, G Pickett, D Adams, K Marshall, J Laing and E Wallace.
The special tournament for Walton players on this day was the McLean Basket for the best nett and that was won by Violanta Villiger with a 74 nett. Our thanks go to Alison Mitchell as sponsor of the trophy.
